To determine the world’s best start-up employers, Forbes and Statista analyzed over 7 million data points and 20,000+ startups before narrowing it down to just 500 winners. 

Apollo came in at #161.

For the second year in a row, Apollo.io has earned a spot on Forbes’ America’s Best Startup Employers 2025 list, recognized for our standout reputation, high employee satisfaction, and rapid growth. It’s an honor to be featured among the best, and a testament to the incredible team and culture we’re building.

What makes a “Best Startup Employer”?

Forbes’ ranking spotlights startups that aren’t just growing fast — they’re also great places to work. To qualify, companies had to:

• Be headquartered in the U.S.
• Have been founded between 2014 and 2021
• Maintain a true startup structure (not just a new branch of a big company)
• Employ at least 50 people

Through an in-depth analysis of defined key performance indicators (KPIs), Forbes and Statista ranked companies based on three key factors:

1. Employer Reputation – A deep dive into online mentions to see what people really think.
2. Employee Satisfaction – Retention rates, benefits, remote work policies, and diversity initiatives.
3. Growth – Metrics like headcount increases, website traffic, and job openings over the past two years.

The America’s Best Startup Employers 2025 ranking examines best-performing startups as employers through defined KPIs to guide potential candidates in finding innovative and stable startups to work for. Companies considered in the evaluation must be headquartered in the U.S., founded between the years 2014 and 2021, employ at least 50 employees, and exhibit a startup structure.
