Disclosure of Third-Party Providers

At Apollo.io, we are committed to providing our users with a powerful platform for sales and marketing outreach. Two of our core company values include be customer obsessed and move with focus and urgency. The exciting breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI) mean we are updating our products and features to include the most advanced and cutting edge technologies to help our users prospect more efficiently, and prospect better. As part of these commitments, we may leverage various third-party providers in the AI space to enhance our services and capabilities, and will continue to do so for certain product features.

To do this, Apollo.io may use Customer Data (as defined in Apollo's Terms of Service) and its proprietary data as inputs to the machine learning models from these third-party providers or to its own internally developed models. This allows us to provide more accurate and relevant recommendations to our users. Apollo will never share Customer Data with third-party providers for the purposes of algorithm enhancement, however, without disclosing it first to customers and obtaining customer consent.

We take our responsibility to protect our users' data seriously, and we are committed to providing transparency and control over how Customer Data is used. As such, we provide the following disclosures:

  • Any third-party AI platforms used in Apollo's features will be disclosed in the sub-processor list found in our Trust Center

  • Customer Data that is sent to third-party AI providers will be deleted from those platforms within 30 days.
  • We regularly review and update our policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations and industry best practices.

Apollo is committed to making AI usage clear and trustworthy. Whenever you have the option to use AI, Apollo shows a distinctive purple star icon, signaling that you will interact with AI.

This page will be updated with the latest information on Apollo's use of AI. The current list of third-party AI providers integrated into Apollo is as follows:
  • OpenAI: OpenAI is an artificial intelligence research organization that provides machine learning and natural language processing technologies. We use OpenAI's technologies to improve our platform's functionality, including but not limited to features like automated email personalization, insight generation, and other email messaging purposes.
  • Anthropic: Anthropic is an artificial intelligence public benefit company that provides machine learning and natural language processing technologies. We use Anthropic's technologies (in conjunction with OpenAI) to improve our platform's functionality, including but not limited to features like automated email personalization, insight generation, scoring and other email messaging purposes.
  • Gemini: Gemini is artificial intelligence technology provided by Google. As such, Customer Data does not leave Apollo's Google Cloud instance (where all Customer Data is hosted) in connection with Apollo's use of the Gemini technology. We use Gemini to improve our platform's functionality, including insight generation and responses to customer questions.
  • Perplexity: Perplexity is an artificial intelligence technology that provides machine learning and natural language processing capabilities. We use Perplexity's technologies to improve our platform's functionality, including but not limited to optimizing our AI features for each customer, like prospect research, insight generation, and responses to customer questions.
  • Assembly AI: Assembly AI is an artificial intelligence technology that transcribes audio content into text. We use Assembly AI's models to improve our platform's functionality, including but not limited to features like transcription.

The third-party AI providers listed above are used by Apollo as part of its platform features. This list does not include any AI providers that customers may independently integrate with their Apollo accounts through customer-configured integrations or third-party connections, even if facilitated by Apollo ("Customer Third-Party Systems"). Customers are responsible for their own use of any such independently integrated AI providers, including compliance with those providers' terms and applicable data protection requirements.
