Overview

Some of your best leads are already on your website — you just don’t know who they are. 

This Sales Play helps you reveal anonymous website visitors and route high-intent leads to the right team members immediately.

Using this Sales Play, Apollo will:
  • Track and identify companies visiting your website
  • Segment high-intent visitors based on buying intent data
  • Add high-intent visitors to a dedicated list (“Golden Intent Leads”)
  • Send Slack and email alerts to the account owner for immediate follow-up
Before you start:
  • Website Visitor Tracking: Apollo must be set up to track visits to your website, with the tracking pixel installed.
  • Buying Intent Data: Select the relevant buying intent topics so Apollo can flag high-intent visitors. 

How to launch this Sales Play

This prompt will create your initial workflow for tracking and capturing website visitors.

Create a new workflow called "High-Intent Website Visitor Workflow." Trigger: When an account visits a tracked website page (website visited). Constraint: Only include accounts that visited my domain within the last 30 days (if time filtering is supported). Actions: Identify the visiting account using website visitor tracking (apply available deanonymization or matching logic automatically). Add the account to a list titled "High-Intent Website Visitors." Workflow flow should be: Website Visit → Identify Account → Add to List. Save the workflow with the exact title "High-Intent Website Visitor Workflow."

AI Assistant will then ask you for additional details to fine-tune the workflow, such as:

  • Do you want to limit triggers to specific pages or domains on your website?
  • Should accounts be processed only once, or every time they visit?
  • Would you like to add any additional actions like notifications or tasks?

Once that workflow is set, you’ll create a second path to leverage Apollo’s buying intent data by copying and pasting the below prompt into the AI Assistant. Make sure to fill in the bracketed sections with your own intent topic and list name before running the prompt.

Create two paths. One path is for companies that have high buyer intent for [Intent Topic]. The other is for all remaining companies. Save the companies that also have high buyer intent into a list called [List Name]. Send a Slack notification and an email to the account owner.
